The Church of Highlands has been actively partnering with Enable for over eight years, and their SERVE team has successfully organized their big serve day for the past three years.

On their SERVE Team day, the Church of Highlands built a ramp, and they have different teams that head out to build ramps and work on other projects for us on the first Saturday of each month. Scott Stevens, who’s been a super active volunteer with Enable for almost ten years, led the ramp build. He’s the go-to person for ramp construction, taking care of repairs, making ramp sketches, and sometimes even putting in handrails for our clients.
This ramp is actually the second of three they put up on Saturday, July 11. Al Turner, a former president of the CASA/Enable board, led this project. He’s devoted a lot of time to Enable as a ramp team lead, sketch designer, and repair volunteer. Although he used to assist with grab bars and handrails, he now focuses on ramps. He is also the warehouse lead and will be responsible for managing operations on Tuesday nights.
