HUNTSVILLE, AL — Enable Madison County is pleased to announce that Zane Drost will assume the role of Executive Director beginning May 5, 2025.
Zane brings more than 20 years of experience in business development, leadership, and fundraising. He most recently held development and marketing leadership roles at Thrive Alabama, Downtown Rescue Mission, and Village of Promise.
Known for his structured, collaborative approach and strong commitment to integrity, Zane combines innovation with accountability to empower teams and deliver results. He also successfully coordinated high-profile engagements, including bringing President George W. Bush to Huntsville.
Zane earned his business degree from Northeast Louisiana University (now ULM). He and his wife Alison live in downtown Huntsville. They enjoy biking the city’s trails and spending time with their family, which includes their children and a new granddaughter.
“I am excited to be joining the dedicated team at Enable Madison County as Executive Director as we continue making a difference in the lives of the aging and homebound in Huntsville,” Zane said.
Enable Madison County has been serving North Alabama for over 45 years, providing essential services—including wheelchair ramps, hygiene supply deliveries, and home weatherization—to help aging and homebound residents live safely and independently.
